I found a couple of older threads here with similar problems, but no solution - so Im posting some solutions. Nascar Simracing Cd Key Series Or NASCARIf you attempt to run some of the older EA Sports racing simulators, such as the NASCAR Thunder series or NASCAR SimRacing, you might find yourself unable to get them to work initially. Here are the tips I found that got them running again on a modern PC. ![]() Nascar Simracing Cd Key .Exe From NASCARHowever, if you have the 3DConfig.exe from NASCAR Thunder 2004 (or the demo), you can copy it over to the NSR directory. Itll do the system detection routine and youll be able to run NSR afterward. Both the 3D configuration utilities and the game EXEs for NSRNT may fail to run on a modern computer, giving you an error saying that you have no video memory. These EXEs are incapable of detecting more than 4GB of system RAM, so if your PC has more than 4GB itll actually show up in the detection tool as a negative amount of memory, and fail to run. As a workaround, do the following: Launch the System Configuration tool (also known as MSCONFIG) Select the Boot tab Click Advanced Options Enable the Maximum memory checkbox, and enter a number lower than 4096 in the field below Click OK twice, and restart Your computer will reboot, and Windows will use only the amount of RAM specified in the box. The system detection tools, as well as the games, will now load properly. Nascar Simracing Cd Key Full RAM CountYou can run MSCONFIG again to disable the memory limitation afterward, and youll be back to your full RAM count again after the next reboot. I havent yet tried to get either game to run in a higher resolution than whats available in the tool (1024x768), this was mainly just to see if I could get them running again (because I like revisiting old games). Any idea on what file I should be looking in to correct the hex value Do you have any experience with this in NASCAR SimRacing EDIT: I am using the disc version, which installed files to my HDD. I am making the setup file changes on the installed content and using the disc to AutoRun the game (from setup.exe on the CD) as running from the NascarSimRacing.exe does not produce results. Do I need to be using a no-disc exe too level 1 2 points 3 years ago Ive found a better solution. It even recognizes my Nvidia 1060 6gb card and has advanced options. Cheers level 2 rF1 rF2 Original Poster 1 point 3 years ago Great find, thanks level 1 1 point 3 years ago Just test drive your workaround with NT2004. The 3DConfig.exe now run with the 4GB limitation as you mentioned and I can set my resolution and the system automatically benchmark them. Any other suggestions level 2 rF1 rF2 Original Poster 1 point 3 years ago You might need to look for a no-cd version of the EXE. Its possible that the copy protection of the time doesnt work under a modern OS. Continue this thread level 1 1 point 3 years ago I still have the same issue with nascar 2004 thunder TM says memory is not enough. What have you tried so far level 1 G27 AC DR 1 point 3 years ago For NASCAR SimRacing, I tried setting the system memory to under 4096 in MSCONFIG, however, that did not solve the VRAM problem. The config.ini file is still reading -7MB video memory. Odd part is, my card has under 4GB of memory (3GB GTX 780), so it doesnt fall under the more than 4GB error.
